Praxis of Otorhinolaryngology

About the Journal

The journal was founded on January 1, 2013, under the title KBB Uygulamaları Dergisi by the İstanbul KBB-BBC Uzmanları Derneği, with the aim of providing a peer-reviewed platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of otorhinolaryngology.

Since its establishment, the journal has been committed to publishing high-quality original research, reviews, and clinical contributions, supporting the advancement of both national and international scientific communities.

In line with its vision for internationalization and broader academic visibility, the journal was later renamed Praxis of Otorhinolaryngology. This transition reflects its commitment to reaching a wider global audience while maintaining its core principles of scientific rigor, ethical publishing, and editorial excellence.

The journal is published by Bayçınar Medical Publishing and is indexed in ULAKBİM and EBSCO, enhancing its visibility and accessibility within the scientific community.

Operating under an open access model, the journal ensures that all published content is freely accessible to readers worldwide.

Until now, the journal has been published using the association’s own resources. However, due to current economic conditions, it has become necessary to request APC support from valued authors going forward. To support editorial and production processes, an article processing charge of 50 € per page is applied to accepted manuscripts.

Over the years, the journal has continuously improved its editorial and peer-review processes, expanded its reviewer network, and aligned its policies with international publishing standards. It continues to develop with the objective of increasing its international recognition, strengthening its indexing status, and contributing meaningfully to the scientific literature in its field.
